Earth Hour 2013 and Beyond: My Experience for the Earth Hour 2013

In the past 6 years of joining for the Earth Hour since the year 2008, I just made an expectation that the Earth Hour for me will be going on an hour. But I never expected it, because the Earth Hour for me this year goes beyond the hour. That's why the image above reminded me of the Earth Hour's challenge is to go beyond the hour.
8:26pm - When I started to type the in my address bar, I started to switch off my light in my own room. I was so excited for that particular part because the Earth Hour will be approaching.

8:29pm - I switched on my radio for the Earth Hour 2013 on Veritas 846 AM Band.

8:30pm - The Veritas 846 and the site has simultaneously given the signal for the start of Earth Hour 2013. When the anchor saith "Pwede nyo na pong patayin ang ilaw dahil simula na ng Earth Hour 2013," I switched off the lights in our living room and dining room. The kitchen room was the only light that we have.

8:45-10:00pm - The Veritas 846 Community has started their special coverage titled: "Ang Banal na Oras: Veritas 846 Earth Hour 2013 Special Coverage" and as well as the Holy Rosary. I was so blessed because of the Earth Hour this year. I so forgotten that the flashlight shall be the only light open for the rest of the hour and so I switched on the flashlight:

And so that flashlight was the significance of the Earth Hour 2013 in our home. I wasn't expecting that the Earth Hour for this year will end at 9:30pm, it has gone beyond the hour for an extension of 30 minutes because of the Holy Rosary conducted by the Veritas 846 Kapanalig Community. And so it was said to be the "Holy Hour: Earth Hour 2013 Veritas 846 Kapanalig Special Coverage - Going Beyond the Hour". And I was so blessed with this kind of Earth Hour experience for this year.

At 10:00pm, we switched on back our lights in our living room and in my own bed room.

And So, I status this:

Here's the full status of the said tweet above:

After 1 and a half hour of switching off lights, I have proven that I have shown concern for the Mother Earth!

It's 10pm and I've gone beyond the Hour!

That's what the meaning of 60+: Going beyond the Hour!

Countdown to Earth Hour 2013: Saving our Mother Earth against Global Warming. Dare the World to Save the Earth

As we are approaching one more time to the year of switching off lights, we are asked again to save our Mother Earth against Global Warming. That's why, in the next more or less 20 and a half hours (Philippines Time), we will show the world what we've got by switching off lights for one full hour.

Based on an article from Wikipedia, here's what is Earth Hour is all about:

But before you read the text below, watch first the video for the Earth Hour 2013:

Earth Hour is a worldwide event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and held towards the end of March annually, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change. The event, conceived by WWF and Leo Burnett, first took place in 2007, when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non-essential lights.

Now, with that start of the Earth Hour in 2007, the following year and on the next years, more and more cities participated in the Earth Hour Campaign.

(From: 83.9 Astig Pinoy Radio Facebook Fanpage)

Now, let's go to my feedback:

If I am going to rate from 1 to 10 about this site, I will be rating it a 10. With the site of, you are hooked in with the Filipino songs made especially for the Filipinos here in the Philippines and Filipinos around the world.

When I just joined in for the 1st time last week with the mouth of words from my good friend Muzyk Kristy, I was so glad that this site was the most powerful among the other online radio sites. And with the site, I can say that you can enjoy listening to the songs. And so, I hooked it up on my blog site which I do believe all of the blog readers of my blog site will enjoy listening to the site.

And so, I plugged my blog site from time to time to get more pageviews and so that my site will be most popular and one of the hook-uppers in playing for the AstigPinoyRadio.

Tomorrow, the will turn 10 months and in 2 months time, it will turn 1 year old. That's why it's just time for my tuning in on the, because I'll be part of their 1st Anniversary Special.

Kaya, tune in na Pinoy, dahil astig ka dito sa: 83.9 ASTIG PINOY RADIO!
